For the past years, UCI has worked closely with WMI (Winning Medicine Internationale) and Rick Bahr to increase the level of the medical management and service at all UCI BMX events. It has become clear that with a high-risk sport such as BMX, it’s crucial to have the very best medical team present.
To further improve the medical service at major UCI events (UCI BMX World Championships and UCI BMX Supercross World Cup’s), WMI and UCI is now introducing the ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS. With WMI having direct access to athlete’s medical history (previous injuries, allergies etc) and insurance details, we can insure a much better service. All the athletes have to do is to register as following;

2. Click on the label Electronic Medical Records
3. Use the “new user” tab and follow the instructions to create an account
4. Enter your personal information
Please note that all information is treated confidentially.
With the upcoming 2010 UCI BMX World Championships in South Africa, UCI and WMI has already secured the best possible medical treatment in Pietermaritzburg’s private hospital.
HOWEVER, if we are not able to provide accurate insurance information, there might be critical delays and the potential risk of being transferred to a public hospital.
We therefore urge all elite athletes to register their via the Electronic Medical Records.
